Our History
In May of 1978, Ken, his wife, Linda, and a crew of three began Crowley Masonry, Inc. (CMI). The company started out doing residential and small commercial jobs. Ken would work in the field all day and estimate plans all night. Linda worked full-time as an office manager and did all the bookkeeping for CMI after hours, all while raising two young children.
In the late 1980’s, Crowley Masonry grew into a company taking on large commercial projects, churches, schools, etc. Ken began spending less time on the job site and more time bidding and scheduling work.
The late 1990’s further validated the family atmosphere of Crowley Masonry when their son, Brent, and daughter, Pamela, came to work for the business. Brent, who attended UW-Stout for Construction Management, assisted with estimating, scheduling, and managing projects. Pamela, who earned a degree in Public Relations and Organizational Communication from UW-La Crosse, maintained payroll, accounting, human resources, and other office duties.
In 2012, after Ken and Linda retired, Brent and Pamela took over the business and have been working side by side as President and Vice President. We are very fortunate to have a wonderful team of skilled masons and laborers, many who have been with us for decades. We are truly like a family.
With over 47 years in business, we continue to strive for quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. We have seen many changes take place in this industry and we look forward to continued success as a leading mason contractor in Wisconsin.
